The Federal Acquisition/Contracts Policy Support Analyst directly supports a federal law enforcement customer in providing acquisition policy program support within a federal acquisition environment.
Description
This person will be responsible for managing high volume, time sensitive, discretionary information related to federal acquisitions policy program support. A strong business savvy and business acumen will help to ensure this person is successful.
This individual must possess:
Expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations Experience in Federal Contracting, preferably as a former federal contract specialist or contracting officer Ability to communicate in writing Ability to develop user guides, training content, and technical memoranda A thorough understanding of legal issues in the federal acquisition arena Ability to analyze incoming issues and propose solutions
Tasks will include:
Review of agency and department draft policy documents; Development of agency policy; Collaboratively working with contracting staff on resolution of issues; Support for the Contract Review Board; Support for the Small Business Program; Support for other Acquisition programs; Assisting Program Managers as required; Updating the Financial And Acquisition Management Policy Manual
Experience
Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience relevant experience including coordinating and performing technical duties. Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) or Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting Level III preferred Excellent communications (oral and written) Superior customer service skills Individual must be a self-starter Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or higher
Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
