Job summaryAmazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented occupational health and safety lawyer based in Arlington, Virginia to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.
AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers, and more.
The successful candidate will join the AWS Legal Regulatory Risk Management & Compliance team focusing on health and safety compliance as it pertains to the buildings, equipment, and infrastructure operated by AWS around the globe.
Key job responsibilitiesThis Associate Corporate Counsel will provide legal counsel to leaders on the health and safety, engineering and operations business teams across the globe.
In this role you will collaborate with a global team of attorneys to support pioneering business initiatives and be at the cutting edge of data center infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with engineers as they design, develop, and invent new technology solutions to support this rapidly growing space.
Principal duties include providing day-to-day advice on health and safety compliance issues, monitoring and advising the business of emerging legislation, developing compliance policies and strategic initiatives, and finding scalable solutions as AWS continues to expand to new countries, new worksites, and new frontiers.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer to work on multi-jurisdictional safety compliance projects.
Some domestic travel will be required.
The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
