The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, pragmatic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Key job responsibilities--Operates within established frameworks and approaches with minimal guidance --Exercises independent judgment in communicating with clients, works within established frameworks, interacts directly with outside counsel, and manages projects within broad or specialized substantive areas of responsibility --Provides recommendations often and understands the implications of the overall compliance plan with some assistance--Flags challenges and potential roadblocks in the compliance plan to leadership --Writes rules as needed after researching an issue brought to his/her attention.
Looks to constantly improve rule rationales --Anticipates and preempts questions from Sr team members--Researches, benchmarks and assesses current practice to make recommendations for changes to process--Builds process and makes independent decisions about how to implement those aspects of the program--Partners with various internal and external stakeholders on trainings, projects and issues.
--Ensures regulatory guidelines are implemented--Creates tangible implementation plans for application of the law --Creates program & project plans for regulatory changes--Project manages parts of company-wide compliance projects --Identifies, recommends and drafts Amazon or business partner messaging as needed to optimize compliance actions for leadership or Sr team member review --Partners with the business directly on how to make communications and training more effective for their organizationAbout the teamOur Public Sector team is a global and diverse team of individuals focused on making change in this world.
