Job Description AECOM has an immediate need for a technology minded GIS Specialist / Enterprise Solutions Specialist in the Washington D.
C.
area.
The position provides the flexibility of working remotely but you will be expected to report on-site to the Pentagon at least one day a week.
In this role, you will be a part of a thriving Federal GIS group within the Technology Services Department.
The GIS Specialist / Enterprise Solutions Specialist will operate within the enterprise architecture of our federal clients to develop geospatial solutions that improve business processes.
The position will support a variety of projects that require ESRI integration with existing business systems/processes, visualization of complex data from a variety of sources, and complex data management skills.
A successful candidate will work both independently and in close collaboration with various subject matter experts, AECOM staff, and high-ranking government officials to develop, deploy, and support ESRI enterprise solutions.
In this role you will drive geospatial data management best-practices, serve as the technical lead for data analysis and visualization, as well as the integration of existing business systems within an ESRI enterprise ArcGIS Server environment.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Communicating and collaborating with the project manager, project team, and client stakeholders to understand and document system/solution requirements.
Develop mock-ups, prototypes, and system design solution documentation to meet client requirements.
Designs, develops, implements, and enhances Portal for ArcGIS applications to meet client requirements.
Develop efficient, user-friendly solutions within Portal for ArcGIS.
Incorporate Outlook 365 tools as applicable to automate functions and improve project efficiency and data quality.
Develop and manage Portal for ArcGIS, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau dashboards.
Create well organized, user-friendly SharePoint sites and sub-sites using master pages, web parts, or CSS.
Serve as technical lead for the administration of enterprise geodatabases using SQL Server.
Assist with managing the portfolio of client projects ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and with quality results.
Analyze, plan, develop and communicate requirements and standards to key stakeholders and across project teams.
Organize, document, and communicate status updates to program leads and relevant project teams.
Research and evaluate technology solutions and prepare cost/benefit analysis as needed.
Meets with subject matter experts to discuss topics, such as technical specifications, customized solutions, and operational problems.
Must have the ability to work independently and with a team of professionals.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree and 6
years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Relevant experience must include 6 years of GIS experience Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required Valid US Driver's License required Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in geography, planning, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field with emphasis in geographic information systems (GIS) is favored 2
years of experience working with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) suite of standards preferred Demonstrated experience using Python.
Demonstrated experience administering relational databases.
Experience with Outlook 365 development.
