Associate Corporate Counsel, Public Sector, Project Kuiper (Satellites)

We are seeking an enterprising attorney with an interest in government contracts and related transactions to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper, Amazon's initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for a stellar lawyer to be embedded with the Kuiper team and support fast-paced, complex negotiations and important government compliance efforts on a variety of cutting-edge space technologies.
You will help Kuiper navigate new frontiers by reviewing government contract solicitations and proposals, negotiating subcontracts and technology development agreements, drafting contract language, advising on intellectual property matters, and helping to ensure compliance with government contracts.
The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and engineer processes that address gravity and risk to provide the business with flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, has sound judgment, and has the inclination to be continually challenged.
You will be expected to help the company take smart risks and revel at the opportunity to negotiate favorable deals on a timeline that matches the team's velocity.
This position will be based in Arlington, VA.
Some travel may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
