This person's official title will be Patient Care Specialist and their main duty is to support our Practice Manager.
The position is located at our office in Arlington, Virginia.
The ideal person for this role is a dedicated self starter that can work both independently and within a team environment.
They are comfortable multitasking, can anticipate someone's needs, and have a high level of organization and attention to detail.
To be successful in this position:
You need to be extremely attentive to detail - we have lots of patients that walk through our doors every day and it is your responsibility to help the Practice Manager be certain their accounts are up to date.
You are able to communicate effectively - the Front Desk Receptionist helps the Practice Manager be the bridge between upper management and the rest of the team, so being able to work with lots of different personalities and manage expectations is key for this role.
You are proficient on a computer - a lot of your work will be spent in front of the computer working in our EHR system, so having a love for working with computers and learning new skills is very important.
You can keep a secret - confidentiality is a skill that must be mastered in this role because as the Front Desk Receptionist you will be maintaining patient, team member, and employer confidentiality.
You must be comply with HIPPA regulations.
You look at the glass as half full - we need a Patient Care Specialist that displays a positive attitude and is a positive agent for change.

Daily responsibilities include:
Helping to oversee the coordination of the front office activities including checking patients in & out, collections, answering phones, and scheduling.
Assisting the Practice Manager with the facilitation of the flow of the back office operations by delegating responsibilities to the assistants and massage therapists.
Training new staff on the activities of the front office to ensure that RxWellness standards are met.
Engaging with insurance companies to verify and oversee coverage for patients as well as manage billing inquiries and resolution of insurance disputes.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with patients in the office, and with local businesses including gyms, corporate offices, and schools.
Interacting with the company's Marketing team to create and enhance social media content to provide relevant information regarding holistic health practices.
Attending periodic training sessions and meetings pertinent to position.
Performing all other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager or Clinic Director.
Desired Qualifications and
Experience:
Medical front office or administrative experience required Knowledge of and/or experience in an assistant manager role This position is in the office Monday - Friday.
Reliable transportation is necessary.
