Summary:
Precision Talent Solutions is supporting a large 8(a) contractor in their search for a Vice President of Business Development for Department of State (DoS) accounts.
This is a client facing role, responsible for leading and executing strategic business development initiatives within the Department of State.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business development strategies, aligned with the company's overall vision and objectives, and expand the client's presence within the Department of State's key focus areasThese areas include, but are not limited to, Diplomatic Security, Consular Affairs, Bureau of Information Resource Management and Office of Acquisition ManagementCultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders including DoS officials, other prime contractors and industry partners with an eye toward potential teaming opportunitiesIdentify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities, including large-scale ($50m+) contracts and task orders in alignment with relevant past performanceConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, competitors and gaps in the market to enable strategic decision makingManage a business development budget ensuring effective utilization of resources to maximize ROIProvide regular updates and reports on business development activities, progress and results
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, International Relations or related field.
Master's degree preferred7 years of experience in the government contracting industry, the majority of which would be in business developmentExperience with DoS and it's components including Diplomatic Security, Consular Affairs and Office of Acquisition ManagementKnowledge of government contracting procedures, regulations (FAR/DFAR) and the federal acquisition processDemonstrated leadership capabilities and experience leading cross-functional teamsWillingness to travel as needed to support business development effortsAn active DoS security clearance preferredEqual Opportunity Employer:
