Senior Manager, PM - Construction & Design, HQ2

As a member of the Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team overseeing corporate office space, the Project Manager will lead teams delivering design and construction projects within existing Amazon office space our new headquarters (HQ2) in Arlington, VA.
This Project Manager will oversee the program, including planning, budgeting, and controlling the program activities to support corporate office locations.
The optimal candidate is an experienced, persistent professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture - providing vision, leadership, and communication - but not afraid to dive into details.
They should also understand the nuances of being a desirable but smart client or buyer, fostering transparent external relationships, and balancing frugality with creativity.
This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.
5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs.

Responsibilities Ownership of all projects from inception to completion within the region.
Deliver positive results for Amazon employees by modifying the workplace to allow for a more productive environment that will better suit their needs Meet with customer stakeholders, to define project parameters and take accountability for quality, cost and timely delivery Provide consistent customer focused communication with Amazon employees and leaders about the project status Have Bias for Action- be able to pivot and make decisions quickly in order to ensure a timely result for the customer Work closely with and manage vendor teams of project managers, designers, general contractors, specialty contractors, and furniture providers to ensure decisions are made at the appropriate level with Amazon's priorities always as the driving factor Focus on continuous improvement, develop measurable targets, verifiable milestones and Deliver Results Develop long term goals and objectives to support the success of the program Develop annual budgets and operating plans and continuously reduce cycle times, improve quality and lower cost Oversee program financial reporting; completed quarterly or as required (accruals, forecasts, etc.
) Monitor the strengths and weaknesses of the projects to determine areas for improvement.
When applicable, hold project managers accountable for timely accomplishment of deliverables, provide guidance, ensure corrective actions are taken as necessary, and monitor metrics, report progress and challenges Oversee all procurement related activity for the program (quoting, PO requests, work order requests, invoicing).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
