Lead Engineer (FDIC) Job
Summary:
EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Lead Engineer in Washington, DC.
Under general direction of the Project Manager the Lead Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of commercial air conditioning/heating systems, water treatment, controls, and other mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities will also include assisting with inspections of the office complex and grounds, the performance of lighting replacement, general maintenance and cleaning/painting of mechanical rooms.
Essential Duties:
Maintain all boilers, their accessories and appurtenances.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and repair as necessary.
Maintain refrigeration and air conditioning machinery and their associated equipment, including maintenance and repair of cold storage spaces.
Plumbing and piping, including water, gas, heating, steam and sanitation systems.
Electrical appliances and fixtures, including re-lamping.
Emergency power equipment.
Electric motors, generators, circuits and switchgear.
Maintain daily log or building diary regarding building emergencies, after hour callbacks, and interruption of utility or building services.
May direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems.
Able to climb up and down ladders to service and perform Preventative Maintenance on various building related equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have 5 years experience in HVAC/Electrical or Building Operations with supervisory experience.
Universal CFC license and Refrigeration License preferred Demonstrate mastery/license in one or more skilled building trades (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, building automation, etc.
).
Must carry a cell phone and be able to respond to after hour emergency calls.
Must have experience in operation and maintenance management in a critical environment, knowledge of UPS, emergency generators, motor control centers, fire protection suppression systems, supervisory control and data acquisition monitoring systems and other building or control systems, central plant/chiller, electrical, emergency power systems, energy management, general repairs, package units, pneumatic controls, water treatment and fire life safety EMCOR Government Services requires all employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
This position will require the successful candidate to show proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination.
