Business Development Manager - Public Sector
Position SummaryOur client is looking for a Business Development Manager to build key stakeholder relationships within public sector governmental organizations and position the company products and technology enabled solutions for consideration in federal government programs.
Territory:
Virginia & Washington, DC Job ResponsibilitiesManage strategic planning and business development for Public Sector customers Identify and develop new account customers Increase annual revenue from each existing account within the Public Sector Manage profit and budget for any direct business ownership Manage Public Sector sales forecasting to executive management Conduct business in a professional, competent, and ethical manner Providing weekly updates on Public Sector activities (calls, projects, quotes/RFQ, etc) Main point of contact for vendors looking to engage the company in the Public Sector market to help them understand how we go-to-market in this vertical Help provide guidance, review, and input to our executive management team around pricing strategies for A< oestrategic' RFP and contract bid responses Willingness to travel (if necessary) to meet with customers for the largest opportunities around the country and participate in strategic conferences (best a few times per year) Characteristic of attention to detail is a must, to ensure we are operating well within all stringent rules and requirements of government contracts and relationshipsQualificationsDemonstrated success selling to state, local, and education (SLED) government agencies Experience with Public Sector clientele and government programs Previous sales methodology training and CRM experience Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment Strong computer, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferredAbout The CompanyOur client offers a full variety of data center products, featuring a complete set of custom server racks made in the USA for flexible, robust IT solutions and backed by our helpful, expert IT pros!.
