Host Nation AnalystKBR is seeking a Host Nation Analyst with Subject Matter Expertise in Strategy and Policy and a basic understanding of Counter - Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) to support the Department of Defense's Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO). Analyst will support the JCO's Director, Deputy, Division Chief, Branch Chief, and other team members' actions as a focal point for the JCO with support to DoD with regards to Host Nation research and coordination, Homeland Defense, Defense Support of Civil Authorities, Theater Security Cooperation, DoD Special Events (National Security Special Events), and related Host Nation policies, programs, resources, processes, capabilities, and legal authorities. The HN analyst will develop, synchronize, and execute all Host Nation related aspects of strategy, campaign planning, policy, and assessments for the JCO. The HN analyst will support Strategy and Policy proposals and programs that further the strategic and operational goals, and objectives of the global C-sUAS enterprise. Duties will include:
Maintain situational awareness of existing C-sUAS and Host Nation C-sUAS related policies for both CONUS/OCONUS. Assess/analyze current policies and make recommendations regarding strategy, policy, and host nation assessments to JCO leaders on developing and improving C-sUAS policies; provide host nation expertise in support of JCO operations, exercises, and scenario development. Conducting routine coordination with planners, interagency C-sUAS SME, political-military advisors, subordinate component commands, and partnered nation officials to develop proposals and programs that further the strategic and operational goals and objectives of the JCO. Facilitating working groups and or interdisciplinary joint planning efforts to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and compose comprehensive Host Nation policy recommendations. Completing Host Nation projects involving significant amounts of creative and technical writing for senior military and diplomatic leaders. Working in conjunction with DoD planners, provide policy insights to improve current and future Host Nation plans. Research, review, make recommendations for modifications to pre-existing agreements ensuring C-sUAS information, material, and RDT&E can be shared to improve interoperability and maximize integration with partner nations. Acts as lead planner for the JCO host nation assessments in support of C-sUAS enterprise. Provide expertise in the development and interpretation of guidance on campaign and contingency planning as related to Host Nation considerations. Developing Host Nation specific long-range plans, goals, and objectives for C-sUAS programs and manages the development of policy changes in response to changes in higher headquarters guidance, funding, and priorities. Execute staff actions and assigned taskings to support JCO efforts; Prepare and manage internal/external taskings to stakeholders via task management systems (i.e.:
TMT and CATMS) Prepares written products (reports, info papers, presentations, and executive summaries) to shape and defend JCO positions; prepare and present briefings to leadership and stakeholders. Represent the JCO in C-sUAS forums as a team leader or participant to advocate for the JCO Answer requests for information from legislature (e.g. Congress) and stakeholders. Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, engineering, science, business administration, or equivalent experience required (Master's Degree preferred) 8-10 years of related work experience Secret level security clearance is required. Top Secret is preferred.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Government & MilitaryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
