Role Purpose :
This position will focus on working with the North American Unisys Procurement Sales Account Partner teams, supporting IT category requirements for client deals and pursuits, regional supplier contracts, and leading and managing Unisys Global Procurement Supplier Management initiatives. You will negotiate new agreements and renewals with suppliers, maintain existing supplier relationships, control spending, including consolidation of spend, and work with Global Procurement and business stakeholders to engage in activities across the full procurement lifecycle and manage alignment to global category strategies. This position requires strong business judgment and financial acumen, knowledge of the category, expert price and contract negotiation skills, and time management skills to meet deadlines and timelines. Responsible for strategic supplier selection and contract negotiations on requirements of engineering, product management, operations, sales, and Unisys clients. Includes support of alliance development, outsourcing and development of suppliers for internal, manufacturing, and resale requirements.Provides procurement support activities during Product Development Phase. Preparation of purchase detail to populate customer bids and sales proposals. Support of client pre-sales opportunities through client specific product and service sourcing through either a bid desk or help desk environment. Includes subcontracting and risk management, utilizes corporate contracted and preferred sources and only seeks alternative sources due to lack of technical fit or due to client specification. Usually manages other managers and/or high level individual contributors. Focuses on wide-ranging and cross-functional application knowledge. Encourages others to consider innovative alternatives and contributes to business strategy. Sets and directs action plans. Understands functional concepts and drives for results. Key Responsibilities :
In this role you will:
Primarily support North American requirements for Software, SaaS, Hardware, and Telecom, as well as work global requirements on an as-needed basis Develop, lead and manage global supplier management initiatives, such as supplier performance management, supplier diversity, and sustainable procurement/ESG Interface with and build relationships with key members of Unisys Business Units (BUs) to select new suppliers and maintain existing supplier relationships Gather requirements for IT product and service usage (i.e. internal use, outsourcing/managed service use, re-sale) and negotiate appropriate, consistent terms to satisfy business needs Interface with suppliers to communicate Unisys needs and negotiate supplier agreements that effectively meet Unisys requirements, including technical and financial fit, and mitigation of commercial and legal risks Manage all phases of the Procurement lifecycle from sourcing strategy, RFP/RFI/RFx projects, business award, contract development and negotiation, supplier relationship and contract maintenance Serve as an interface between the business and suppliers, and as an escalation contact; lead the development/negotiation of supplier improvement plans when necessary Work with stakeholders to maximize license compliance and avoid audit deficiencies and penalties Support our Procurement colleagues with supplier escalations, contractual requirements, IT Procurement best practices, guidance and mentoring as needed Contribute to the achievement of annual Procurement goals, including world class KPIs, savings targets, etc. Procurement:

This position is accountable to deliver significant year-over-year savings through price reductions and demand management, and is responsible for the assigned portion of the category savings targets on a global basis. This role will coordinate with global and regional Procurement counterparts to support the implementation of the category strategy. It also requires coordination with the business counterparts to establish Procurement as a trusted partner and to move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to Unisys. Additionally, this role will have responsibility to understand and communicate the implications of sourcing decisions on the business risk and profitability targets to create a competitive advantage for Unisys. years' experience in roles of increasing responsibilities in Procurement/Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and financial analysis of supplier proposals 3
years' experience preferred in the development and negotiation of software/SaaS agreements, including strong contract redlining skills and understanding of commercial and legal contract terms for software, SaaS, hardware, professional services Strong understanding of software licensing and use/access rights preferred Strong ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in all relevant business units Clear effective oral and written English communication skills Experience in vendor evaluation and RFP/RFI/RFx score-carding Experience in working with the following software:
Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) Experience with e-procurement tools including Contract Management Systems, eSourcing tools, Oracle Fusion, etc., is preferred
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
