The Transportation Risk Compliance Team is looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to develop its global regulatory and industry affairs foundation and roadmap.
This role will lead regulatory technical engagement for Amazon's Transportation businesses, working with our Legal and Public Policy teams to respond to regulatory inquiries.
This person will build and lead the team's capability to identify, assess, and address regulatory and legal risks, as well as enterprise-wide engagement strategy with external and internal stakeholders to influence business strategies.
As Amazon is continuously developing new transportation models, this leader will work with transportation business, legal, and policy leaders to proactively identify regulatory compliance opportunities and risks, and propose innovative approaches and risk mitigation strategies for solving them.
You should be an experienced industry professional who understands transportation and technical processes, works alongside regulators, policy experts, and trade associations, and drives innovative process changes through multiple organizations.
In this highly visible role, you will work closely with Amazon's transportation leaders, legal, public policy, and 3P companies.
The Senior Manager will apply their knowledge of regulations and industry trends to a diverse set of risk areas.
This individual will leverage the knowledge from these engagements, as well as, existing and planned regulations to create and influence Amazon transportation policies and compliance programs.
Key job responsibilities Collaborate with Amazon's Public Policy team on the development of Transportation Risk Compliance regulatory affairs strategy.
Seeking opportunities and anticipating challenges/obstacles our transportation business could face as the global business and regulatory landscape evolves, working with regulators and industry groups around the world.
Participate and represent Amazon before regulatory bodies, business teams, and industry associations.
Manage and monitor regulatory activities, applications, proceedings, and filings.
Building a process with internal teams to intake regulatory changes through established regulatory monitoring practices.
Be internal expert for compliance, regulations and requirements, including advising other departments.
Work collaboratively and transparently with senior business leadership, legal, public policy, and tech teams, to ensure alignment between regulatory requirements, core business priorities, and transportation compliance priorities within the tech roadmap.
Derive and develop regulatory risk metrics in within our existing risk assessment standards.
Assist with linking policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting with the goal of improving operations, compliance policies, and risk management.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
