Global Communications Manager, Amazonian Technology
Job summaryAmazonian Experience & Technology (AET) is seeking a skilled writer and communications professional to oversee the communications strategy and execution for global technology launches.
AET provides technology and services for Amazon's entire global workforce of over 1M people and counting.
We build and run Amazon's human capital management technology, as well as business applications for time and attendance, immigration, health and safety, disability and leave, and contact center solutions.
To help us deliver on this mission, we need a skilled communicator to partner with our product teams and help drive adoption of employee-facing technology.
In this role, you will provide strategic communications counsel to our technology teams and generate communications strategies based on their roadmap and objectives.
You are customer obsessed and will look for ways to effectively communicate with employees to maximize adoption of technology launches or changes.
You will demonstrate strong copyediting skills, including rewriting, optimizing, and editing content from subject matter experts.
You will distill technical details into conversational and approachable communications that are easy for employees to consume and understand.
And you will insist on the highest standards, ensuring all of our communications adhere to Amazon's style, voice, and brand standards.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience writing strategic communications for large, global audiences.
This role requires exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work backwards from sometimes ambiguous requirements to strategically design and execute high-visibility communications.
Additionally, candidates must have experience working with and influencing multiple stakeholders, teams, and senior leaders.
Strong preference for this position to be in Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; or New York, NY.
Relocation offered from within the US only to these locations.
Key job responsibilitiesOversee the communications strategy and execution for major new product launches or changes.
Manage end-to-end communications planning and execution, including project plans, goals, timelines, deliverables, and owners.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders on commitments, and effectively manage escalations when needed.
Work with subject matter experts, communications managers, and other stakeholders to create messaging that generates excitement and maximizes adoption among internal audiences.
Write and edit clear, compelling copy that resonates with diverse audiences across multiple channels including email, website, mobile app, print, and video.
Own the communication review/approval process with internal stakeholder groups and leadership.
Work with regional communications managers to understand regional nuances and localize content.
Work with creative agencies to design and produce print materials and digital campaigns.
Manage the publishing process across multiple internal channels, ensuring that every communication reaches employees where they're most likely to consume it.
Analyze and interpret performance data (metric tests, research studies) to steer the direction of future campaigns and messaging.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
