Deputy Program Manager

ECS is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to work in our Arlington, VA office.
ECS seeks an entrepreneurial and results-oriented leader to own a Deputy Program Manager role at the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
The successful candidate will collaborate with delivery and functional managers as well as internal operational teams in the day-to-day management of a broad cybersecurity consulting services program that delivers strategic planning, management consulting, and technical engineering services to a dozen federal stakeholders across CISA.
This position reports to ECS' Director of Cyber Support Services.

Responsibilities:
Be a servant leader on a roughly 30-person program by owning the execution of program management duties and responsibilities Proactively manage communications, quality, scope, cost, resources, and risk at the contract level, including holding routine customer meetings, executing deliverables, and performing other as-needed functions to ensure the health of the program Seek opportunities to drive internal initiatives including boosting team morale, defining and enhancing processes, removing roadblocks for others, and optimizing knowledge artifacts Coordinate with the Portfolio Management Office to ensure timely and proper execution of hiring, personnel security, vendor management, financial controls, and contracts management.
Required Skills:
Must be a US citizen A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Must be able to to acquire DHS Suitability Minimum 7 years of experience An entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership Experience leading a program or business office with an emphasis on building productive teams Ability to formulate operational strategies and lead teams to realize them Ability to routinely make decisions using critical thinking skills, sometimes with incomplete information, that support the program's goals Attention to detail, complex problem solving, and leading cross-functional, matrixed teams to success Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including customer and employee engagement Desired Skills:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
