Accessions And Recruiting Support Specialist

Summary The primary purpose of this position is to to manage judge advocate recruiting for The Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps (AFJAGC).
This position requires the sensitive management of all recruiting programs, communications, and materials.
Responsibilities Acts as the focal point for all judge advocate recruiting inquiries and prospective applicants Attends job fairs and law school recruiting events to represent the AFJAGC.
Plans and sets up recruiting events, to include coordinating with event planners on sponsorships, payments, and various logistical requirements Schedules law school on-campus interviews in the National Capitol Region for the Chief of Recruiting, and schedules special recruiting events, such as job fairs and minority recruiting fairs, nationwide Focal point for recruiting supplies and marketing strategy.
Assists the Chief of Recruiting with strategic AFJAGC marketing decisions, including allocating a substantial annual budget for print materials, direct mail, and online advertising Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes:
1) Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of judge advocate selection and recruiting programs, which can raise a numerous of questions from applicants.
2) Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and precedents to conduct studies of the judge advocate recruitment programs to recommend improvements or modifications to work methods, records and file management, staffing patterns, procedures for administering the recruitment programs, or other administrative operations.
3) Knowledge of current recruiting trends and social networking sites.
Analysis requires the ability to identify and recommend improvements of the recruiting program.
4) Knowledge of statistical and comparative analysis in preparing reports and ensuring internship and externship applicant information is complete and accurate.
OR EDUCATION:
Master's Degree or equivalent on any Degree or 2 years leading to a Master's Degree, or a LL.

or Juris Doctor in a School of Business from an accredited college/university.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level.
TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and practices governing the nine judge advocate accessions programs and general knowledge of goals and objectives of AFJAGC Skilled utilization of office equipment, computer software, and web-based data applications.
This includes all Microsoft Suite software programs, ARMS, and social media platforms Ability and skill to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy Ability to review internship and externship applications for uniformity, completeness, and accuracy Ability to proof-read documents for content, spelling, and grammar accuracy Ability to understand and articulate the intricacies of the Air Force JAG corps recruiting initiatives and accessions programs PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
