Quick Apply Full-time 10 days ago Full Job Description Maintenance Technician Job Requirements This role will be responsible for supporting all maintenance efforts onsite, with the main areas of focus being drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repair.
The Maintenance Technician will need advanced knowledge of Property Maintenance, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, with particular expertise in Property Maintenance.
Only applicants with Residential Property Maintenance experience will be considered.
This role will also be responsible for maintaining common areas, amenity spaces, and curb appeal.
As a Tech, this role will be expected to have the necessary experience to complete most work orders and assignments without assistance.
The Tech will need to have their own tools and be able to safely use any equipment needed.
The Tech will share in an emergency on-call rotation and assist as back-up to others in cases of major emergencies.
Skills Needed Residential Maintenance Drywall repair and painting Appliance troubleshooting and repair Replace cabinetry, countertops, doors, and frames Understand and perform a variety of PMs in-unit and on equipment Fluent in Word and Excel, familiarity with BuildingLink and other PMS a plus Provide 5-star customer service Plumbing Installs and repairs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation Assembles fittings and valves for installation Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems Analyses problems and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes Writes reports documenting the problem and summary of actions taken Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts Soldering and brazing Stack jetting - understand how to match pressures and nozzle types to various kinds of plumbing applications Using line camera systems to scope runs Use K50 and 1500 HVAC Advanced troubleshooting, repair or replace HVAC systems and components Ability to diagnose control board, trace out power and issues on Board, rewire a system Ability to draw a system into vacuum, remove and replace any component within the system, nitrogen test, refill and ensure normal operating parameters Read and interpret gauges, know how to use gauges to charge and troubleshoot systems Electrical Install ballasts, tombstones and fixtures without assistance Read gauges and multi meters Advanced troubleshooting of circuits and systems Replace various electrical components Trace out systems, using drawings to identify issues and opportunities Read and interpret schematics Organization & Admin Respond to and ability to prioritize work orders as well as effectively communicate repair efforts Properly report and document incident reports Multitask and prioritize workorders Perform inventory checks and report what is needed Requirements & Experience Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance technician experience Universal CFC Fluent in written and verbal English Safely lift up to 50lbs without assistance What Makes This Job Unique?
