0 Contract 1 hour ago Full Job Description Electoral Operations Consultant Serbia BACKGROUND The Scope of Work contained herein provides a general description of work to be performed by the Electoral Operations Consultant during the term of the contract.
Specific assignments based on activities and/or multiple IFES projects will be approved and issued by IFES upon completion of the consultant contract, which defines the IFES project code, contract or agreement number, a detailed description of the consultant's main duties for a stated period of time, travel requirements, and deliverables.
This consultant will be assigned to undertake work specifically related to electoral operations and management.
He/she will provide a variety of services to ensure flexibility and responsiveness to programmatic needs.
PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the Electoral Operations Consultant will support implementation of IFES electoral operations activities in Serbia.
This will include but will not be limited to cooperation with the election management body (EMB) and other electoral stakeholders and IFES Serbia in-country partners.
This position is open to Serbian nationals only.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Conducting research of election legislation and providing technical advice and assistance to improve electoral management and procedures; Providing support to operational planning efforts, including logistics support with arranging meetings, consultations and technical workshops; Assisting the Country Director in ensuring timely execution of project activities, strategic development and program implementation; Contributing to specific project activities as directed by the Country Director and providing technical advice and assistance as needed; Supporting maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, donors, and partners; Prepare papers, reports, and briefings on election related topics, programmatic work; Other duties as assigned.
Deliverables:
Reports, technical documents, briefings, and analyses related to electoral operations activities, as requested by the Country Director; Draft agendas, workshop, and training materials and procedures; Other relevant deliverables, as requested by the project team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, law or related field required, Master's degree preferred; At least 5 years of relevant experience in electoral operations/election administration, or supporting implementation of large-scale electoral assistance programming; Strong knowledge of election administration and operations, as well as international standards and practices; Familiarity with technical areas such as special voting, training, electoral dispute resolution, results management, etc.
; Demonstrated capacity to work in complex operating environments; Demonstrated ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and consistently meet tight deadlines; Experience in working Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.
); Fluency in English and Serbian languages.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
