This is a critical, high-profile beat in our coverage of how the administration is dealing with a divided Congress in the run up to the 2024 election.
We're looking for a proven news breaker and storyteller.
We want someone who can write authoritatively about both sides of Pennsylvania Avenue for an influential audience.
We want someone who can find the news behind the news and bring to light the major players and legislative action that is intertwining the presidency and the legislative branch.
What You'll Do:
A scoop artist teeming with smart enterprise pitches whose biggest challenge is deciding which story ideas to pursue.
What You'll Need:
A track record of delivering scoops and writing stories that drive the political conversation Demonstrated history of writing clearly, accurately and authoritatively on deadline Proven ability to handle a fast-moving and deeply substantive reporting role Experience covering politics at the national or state level is required Being well sourced on the Hill and in the White House is strongly preferred.
