Ramboll is looking for an experienced and collaborative Market Manager who can build strategic business partnerships and deliver high profile projects with municipal clients in Mid Atlantic region and other geographies.
As a market manager, you will need to understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all organizational levels, and work to develop water opportunities for Ramboll.

You will join our Water Treatment and Reclamation group As our new Market Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to working with municipalities and utilities to deliver a wide range of water-related projects, from preliminary studies through design and construction.
The candidate will be joining a highly successful team providing water infrastructure and treatment solutions in the Northeast, which include planning, design and construction of water/wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, and sustainable one-water solutions.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Provide engaged leadership to help Ramboll strengthen our existing Team(s), build the Ramboll Brand, and create growth in the MidAtlantic region Manage P/L for a group of 5-10 regular full-time employees.
Our aspirational goal will be aimed at growing this group to 15-20 regular full-time staff over the next 3-5 years.
Participate in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers and participation in committee within local or national professional societies of strategic importance Contribute to the development of a regional Water Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology and sustainable solutions for our clients while also actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
Direct engagement with new and existing clients focusing on the development and expansion of our client base in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Develop account plans and client strategies and track activity via Ramboll's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Work with our Recruiting Team to attract top talent aimed at strengthening skill sets and adding depth to our workforce in the region.
Develop and mentor staff in the region to foster professional development Manage teams, budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards Contribute and lead teams that prepare proposals and interview materials and negotiate contracts with clients after selection Identify teaming partners and sub-consultants for services on projects Identify needs for recruitment of new employees and participates in selection process Minimal travel when requested.
Your starting point for constant growth Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the management and oversight of water & wastewater infrastructure including treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, pipeline rehabilitation projects, and pump stations.

Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, and a proven history leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations Demonstrated success with client service and business development with strong existing client relationships.
Attributes that include excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach.
Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.
Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.
Demonstrated experience with project management Ideally, the candidate will have:
Masters of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (a plus) More than 20 years of experience in public-oriented work in the municipal water/wastewater engineering and planning Interest in developing and enhancing our reclaim/re-use water resume, including engagement in professional organizations Experience with advanced treatment systems including membranes, ion exchange and advanced oxidation processes Experience with design project management Experience with alternative delivery models and program management Strong leadership abilities and experience leading diverse and remote teams Change management experience Welcome to our Water division At Ramboll, a global team of bright water consultants support the development of sustainable societies, working with water projects on a global scale.
