We're the PBS Innovation Team, a small R&D team responsible for big projects.
We're hiring a Junior Engineer to build large-volume, streaming and batch data pipelines.
For this role, build means:
oCreate computational documents, ex.
Jupyter notebooksoUtilize data to perform exploratory and quantitative models, mining, and discovery.

Also, the Innovation Team plans to use some of its available budget for training on the latest tech and travel to industry conferences.

What You Have:
You've worked with some of the following knowledge bases:
Familiarity with python data libraries, ex.
Pandas and Numpy Data integration techniques with APIs, Lambda, File Feeds etc Distributed data processing frameworks, ex.
Apache Spark AI/ML models for business needs or new capabilities You've worked on a team that created interactive prototypes using research and design thinking methods.
It would be best if you enjoyed the responsibility and impact of seeing your work in the hands of users.
You've demonstrated the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and apply them at work.

We collaborate closely with fellow Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Fundraising, and Business Intelligence team members to conceptualize, design and develop groundbreaking interactive experiences across PBS core products, platforms, and services for audiences and member stations.

A love of data development Strong analytical and debugging skills A personality that enjoys collaborating with fun people You should be local enough to the Arlington, VA area to come into the office at least two times a week.
