We are seeking a highly creative and motivated UX Director to join our design team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their product and UX design skills and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly digital products.
As the UX Director in the Product Development department at PBS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience strategy and design for our digital products.
Your expertise in user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing will be crucial in creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences for our audiences.
You will work with a team of talented UX designers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and content creators, to ensure the delivery of high-quality user experiences that align with PBS's mission and brand.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
UX Strategy and Vision:
Work closely with the Sr.
Design Director and other team members to develop and implement a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with PBS's overall goals and objectives, focusing on enhancing user engagement and satisfaction across apps and websites.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities regarding UX topics to ensure their growth and success.
User Research and Analysis:
Conduct user research activities such as user interviews, usability testing, and surveys to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and preferences.
Analyze data and translate findings into actionable design recommendations.
Information Architecture:
Define the information architecture for PBS's apps and websites, ensuring intuitive navigation, logical content organization, and efficient user flows.
Interaction Design:
Create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, content creators, and engineers to ensure successful implementation.
Usability Testing:
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of digital products.
Analyze results, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, content creators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and ensure the successful execution of UX initiatives.
Clearly communicate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional teams.
User Experience Standards:
Establish and maintain UX design standards, guidelines, and best practices for PBS's digital products, ensuring consistency and a cohesive user experience across platforms.
Industry Trends and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX research methodologies.
Introduce innovative ideas and approaches to enhance PBS's digital experiences and maintain a competitive edge.
Stakeholder Management:
Effectively communicate UX strategies, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at various levels within the organization, including executives, to gain buy-in and support for UX initiatives.
Requirements for success:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
Proven experience (5
years) in UX design and research, preferably in a digital product development environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationale to diverse stakeholders.
Strong UX leadership, project management, and team management skills with experience leading and mentoring UX designers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing methodologies.
Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, UserTesting.
com, or similar software.
Experience with user research techniques, including user interviews, usability testing, and persona development.
Knowledge of web and mobile technologies, responsive design principles, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with AI, XR, CMS, and Video design is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
