Senior Open-Source Intelligence Analyst

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst to support a DoD client with investigative analysis for threat lead generation.
The Senior OSINT Analyst will perform technical and analytical activities pursuant to the mission, organization, authorities, and administration of the client.
The Analyst is responsible for supporting technical deep dives that involve the identification, consumption, evaluation, and understanding of force protection, insider threat, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and protective intelligence.

Identify threats directed toward agency missions and responsibilities.

Extract and analyze data from multiple sources using data analytics, technical tools, and necessary operational security.

Monitor operations and provide relevant OSINT analysis to identify indicators and warning and enhance situational awareness.

Apply threat detection methodologies and provide protective intelligence services to High-Risk Personnel (HRPs) and facilities such as the Pentagon.

Provide analytical support to Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) assessments and develop threat intelligence products.

Provide open-source analytical support to criminal investigations and intelligence briefing at the most senior levels of DoD.
Skills/
Qualifications:

Experience extracting and evaluating data and creating technical reports on the findings by sourcing across multiple internal and external organizations.

Experience developing written products and briefings for senior officials.

Experience utilizing Publicly Available Information (PAI) sources including but not limited to social media, blogs, databases, maps, videos, academic literature, news media and journals, technical publications, professional publications, economic data, demographic data, public records, and survey research.

Experience conducting internet-based research using Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial and industry-based databases.

Demonstrated knowledge of signature reduction, and experience collecting and identifying deep web and dark web information.

Ability to apply research methodologies to find and report on answers to intelligence questions in a fast tempo environment.

Two or more years of experience using OSINT tools, such as Authentic8 or managed attribution software, CLEAR, Tweetdeck, or Dataminr.

One or more years of experience using Babel Street X or Spokeo is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and
Experience:
This position requires ten years of relevant professional experience.
Experience working in or directly for the DoD is required.
This position requires a masters degree from an accredited university or college.
In lieu of a graduate degree, 15 years of experience and a bachelors degree or 20 years of experience can be accepted.
Work Location:
The work is performed at government facilities in the National Capital Region, primarily the Pentagon.
Clearance:
This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
