Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field 2
years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining 2
years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis Possession of advanced Excel skills and experience cleaning and transforming data for further use, creating reports and dashboards to inform senior leader decisions, and automating activities with VBA Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources Experience with developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with using object-oriented programming languages, including Python, R, or Java Experience with Tableau, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Access, or Power Query Knowledge of the Department of Defense data environment Knowledge of the Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service headquarters Master's degree in Data Science or Analytics
Responsibilities:
Identify and collect data sources, analyze and extract key data and information, and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements.
Integrate data, conduct exploratory data analysis to discover hidden patterns, apply predictive models, and use the right combination of tools to turn disparate data points into objective answers to enable informed decision-making.
Provide clients with a deep understanding of the data, what it means, and how it can be used.
Apply data science, Joint Force, and Defense industry knowledge.
Develop solutions to a variety of Joint concept, experimentation, and capability development problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Participate in various program meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, develop documents and briefs, present results and communicate effectively with Joint Force leaders.
Explores and operationalizes data sources using scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights.
Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
