The ideal candidate should possess a secret clearance and have a solid understanding of Oracle Database Management Systems, along with expertise in SQL scripting.
As a Help Desk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's mission-critical databases and ensuring their optimal performance, security, and availability.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform data within the database.
Write and execute SQL scripts to perform specific tasks or actions on databases.
Design and develop database structures, tables, and schemas based on project requirements.
Perform query optimization and performance tuning to ensure efficient and reliable database performance.
Conduct testing and debugging of SQL code to identify and resolve issues or bugs.
Utilize ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA Service Desk, or Zendesk, to manage and track support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
Maintain a strong knowledge of software applications commonly used in help desk environments, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, remote desktop tools, and network troubleshooting utilities.
Adhere to ITIL processes and best practices, including proper incident, problem, and change management, to ensure efficient service delivery and continuous improvement.
Document support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately for knowledge base articles and future reference.
Contribute to the creation of Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), enabling other groups to access application knowledge and reduce resolution times.
Qualifications:
Possess an active Secret security clearance or above Strong comprehension of Oracle Database Management Systems, specifically Oracle 11g, 12c, or higher.
Demonstrated experience in SQL scripting and writing SQL scripts to perform various database tasks.
Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with data manipulation techniques and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Experience in designing and developing databases, including schema design and database structures.
Proficiency in creating and optimizing stored procedures and functions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug SQL code.
