Cloud Architect at the customer site at either Arlington, VA or Fort Meade, MD.
and will support a hybrid (customer site/telework) schedule.
Our Opportunity:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
This Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for creating the technology framework and providing technical leadership to integrate and migrate all services to multiple cloud service providers.

The Senior Cloud Architect will be a part of a broader engineering leadership team that will drive transformation change for our customers.
An ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of cloud technologies and have an infrastructure engineering background.
Clearance Requirement:
oCurrently possess or are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
(US Citizenship required) Key
Responsibilities:
oDevelop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
oContribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks.
oDefine optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications.
oDemonstrated knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes.
oAct as team's expert in cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS/Azure/GCP and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.
oOwn the creation and implementation of architecture framework that will enable multi-tenancy manageability as well as unique edge and resiliency requirements.
oResearch and document multiple solution options, document the pros and cons for each, and make a recommendation with written justification.
oDemonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts.
oDrive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment oEnsure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements.
oPerform analytical, technical, cost analysis and proposal development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration and management.
oMaintain industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
Must have's:
oBachelor's degree and 12
years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
o10 years' experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management and/or operations.
oDemonstrated knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features.
oExperience with Azure, AWS, and VMWare enterprise implementations.
oExposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
oKnowledge of technical architecture components.
oKnowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes.
oStrong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies.
oStrong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems.
oAbility to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
oMust have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start date (Sec+).

00 - $182,000.
