R-00123405 Description The Leidos Innovation Center has an opening for a Director of Programs within the Intelligent Sensor Systems Branch of the Applied Science Division.
The Program Director will lead a team of program execution specialists and develop strategic objectives to improve efficiency.
The Intelligent Sensor Systems Branch focuses broadly on both hardware and software-based systems that perform collection, processing, and exploitation within knowledge generating ecosystems.
The successful candidate will have experience of overseeing a program management team, leading R&D programs under DARPA/IARPA/ARPA-E/ARPA-H funding, coordinating multiple large programs, and finding solutions that improve execution performance.
In addition, experience in developing a program management office that trains, mentors, and implements agile program management principles is highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities Act as the primary Engagement Lead for delivery of large-scale and/or complex R&D programs.
Facilitate internal teams and advise upper management on solutions and integrating processes to ensure program development is in line with broader goals and objectives.
Define processes and tools needed by teams across all programs enabling successful program implementation and delivery.
Provide guidance on consistent application of project management methodologies that align with strategic plans Partner with solution development teams to plan, evolve, and formulate program scope and execution strategies to include seeding, estimating, and facilitating program budget.
Track and evaluate the delivery metrics of the program execution teams and facilitate continuous improvement to improve flow, quality, and value realization Act as a trusted strategic team member by guiding internal leaders and external senior stakeholders on transition of R&D technologies and capabilities to profit centers.
Own or liaise with the Executive PMO to communicate program executional metrics, risks, issues, and dependencies Deliver thought-leadership around industry, process, PMO, delivery, and technology on behalf of the organization Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree and 8
years experience in team leadership and program management Must be a U.
S Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance Proven track record as a successful program director, program manager, or project manager Experience managing teams through long, complex program implementations Knowledge of current agile program management methods and best practices Experience managing staff and budgets Excellent data analysis and reporting skills Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools Preferred Qualifications Masters or Ph.

in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering, or related fields Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans Experience in business capture of contract R&D programs PMP certification from the Project Management Institute SAFe certification for Agile project management practitioners Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposesLInC Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.
00 - $213,850.
