The Director will ensure that all communications align with the Company's messaging, maintain consistent quality and delivery standards, and are measurable in terms of their impact and outcomes.
As Head of Corporate Affairs, the Director will act as a business partner and influential communication advisor to the Company's senior leaders, management team, and employees.
What You'll Do Guide and direct managers and their teams in accordance with company principles and management model Develop, implement, and monitor goals and initiatives aligned to the Company's strategic vision Evaluate departmental structure, processes, and procedures to solve issues and create efficiency Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and internal guidelines, standards and strategic frameworks Develop and implement a communications strategy for Lidl US in alignment with the international communications strategy and an overall one-brand approach Oversee CSR management at Lidl US, including systems, processes, guidelines and committees Develop, implement and periodically adjust a national CSR strategy in line with the international strategy and in coordination with the CSR committees and the responsible departments Ensure strategic reputation management including analysis, building, and maintaining of a positive reputation Identify and analyze potential threats to the reputation, and manage risk, including sustainability legislation Directly manage issues and crisis situations and provide strategic advice to the Company Ensure stakeholder mapping for strategic communications and stakeholder management Build, maintain and further develop relationships with relevant stakeholders and influencers, including those in the press, politics, employees and relevant non-profit and civil society groups Ensure effective monitoring, reporting and performance measurement of national communications campaigns, considering international guidelines and specifications Provide access to relevant communications and analysis tools in close collaboration with the international headquarters Drive effective use of social media at Lidl US, ensuring cross-channel, coordinated editorial and content planning that is compatible with the Company's other communications Act as corporate spokesperson and respond to members of the media in a timely manner; compose and distribute press releases as needed Implement CSR projects and measures to fulfill the goals of the national CSR strategy and legislations Coordinate documentation of all CSR activities and internal and external CSR reporting in alignment with international and national guidelines Ensure internal and external enabling and continuous training to raise awareness in social and environmental aspects of sustainability Develop, implement, and adhere to communications and CSR budget Manage the reputation and image of the CEO and support executive leadership on corporate affairs What You'll Need Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Deep and comprehensive understanding of the key trends driving the evolution of the Corporate Affairs department, including Public Relations, Stakeholder Engagement and Communications fields (Political Affairs, Media Relations, Internal and External Communications, Social Media), as well as Corporate Social Responsibility Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the ability to influence and earn buy-in from diverse internal and external stakeholders on new strategic initiatives Excellent supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to train others Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strategic thinking and an analytical mindset Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience Bachelor's degree 5-7 years of experience in a related field including three years in a supervisory capacity In lieu of degree, 7
years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience 3-5 years of professional corporate affairs experience, including Public Relations, Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Political Communication in an in-house corporate or agency capacity Physical Job Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Travel Requirements This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers less than 50% of the time This position requires overnight travel less than 25% of the time What You'll Receive At Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
