Azure Data Developer/ Engineer with Security Clearance

Primary Focus The Azure Data Developer / Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration and data warehousing solutions on the Azure platform.

Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data integration solutions using Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Synapse Pipelines, SQL Serverless, Spark and Databricks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design data models, and develop data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
Develop ETL/ELT workflows, data ingestion processes, and data transformation activities using ADF/Synapse pipelines and activities.
Optimize data processing and storage in Azure Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Perform data quality checks, data validation, and data profiling to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data in compliance with organizational and industry standards.
Monitor and troubleshoot data integration and data warehousing solutions, identifying and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks.
Collaborate with data architects and data scientists to design and implement data lakes, data marts, and data warehouses to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Stay updated with the latest Azure Data Engineering trends, best practices, and technologies, and provide recommendations for process improvements and tool enhancements.
Document technical specifications, data flows, and solution designs to ensure effective knowledge transfer and maintainable solutions.
Provide technical guidance to team members, sharing your expertise in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with a focus on Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.
Strong understanding of data integration concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing principles.
In-depth knowledge of Azure Data Factory and its various components, including pipelines, activities, data flows, and triggers.
Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, including data ingestion, data transformation, and data loading techniques.
Proficient in SQL and scripting languages (e.
g.
, PowerShell, Python) for data manipulation and automation tasks.
Familiarity with data modeling, dimensional modeling, and schema design for data warehousing.
Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience working in Azure cloud environment.
Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data-related services.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Must have Top Secret/ SCI Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Must be able to pass a background check.
May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
Experience in database and BI technologies including data modeling, database designing, database development, and database administration.
Designed and develop solutions on cloud platforms using Microsoft.
Migrate the complete system to Microsoft.
Designing a multi-dimensional data model like Star and Snowflake schema and identifying dimensions and measures.
Leading data integration projects and designed ETL solutions for multiple projects to collect data from different sources using different ETL tools like SSIS, ADF etc.

Hands-on with, Data Sciences, and Statistical Analytics and tools like Azure Synapse Analytics.
Hands-on exposure to Data governance techniques and Master Data Management tools.
Collaboration with business and technology partners to provide enterprise data and BI solutions to our clients from different domains.
As a lead database developer, undertaking numerous projects for designing and coding the solutions as per the requirements.
Handled hardcore DBA responsibilities on multiple occasions and took care of activities like replication, log shipping, server maintenance, and user and access management.
Expertise in performance optimization and query tuning of the slow responding databases.

Self-starter with the ability to learn new tasks and skills.
Strong organization and communications skills.
Ability to multitask and have practical time management skills.
Team Player Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
