Network Based Systems Analyst - III with Security Clearance

This position will require physical presence in the National Capital Region (NCR) for at least 3 weeks for training and orientation.
Subsequent work will be primarily supported outside the NCR.
If selected for this position, and you live within 50 miles of Arlington, VA you will be required to report physically to the worksite twice per pay period.
Responsibilities:
o Assists the Government lead in coordinating teams in preliminary incident response investigationso Assists the Government lead with interfacing with the customer while on siteo Determines appropriate courses of actions in response to identified and analyses anomalous network activityo Assesses network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendationso Assists with the writing and publishing of Computer Network Defense guidance and reports on incident findings to appropriate constituencieso Collects network intrusion artifacts (e.
g.
, PCAP, domains, URI's, certificates, etc.
) and uses discovered data to enable mitigation of potential Computer Network Defense incidentso Analyzes identified malicious network activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, effects on system and informationo Collects network device integrity data and analyze for signs of tampering or compromiseo Assists with real-time CND incident handling (i.
e.
, forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and advising on system remediation) tasks to support onsite engagementso Assist with developing analytic solutions for mapping network traffic back to Threat TTPso Provide input to the Government lead in developing processes, standards, WI's, or SOPs Required Skills:

Citizenshipo Must have an active TS/SCI clearanceo Must be able to obtain DHS Suitabilityo 5
years of directly relevant experience in network investigationso In depth knowledge of CND policies, procedures and regulationso In depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocolso In depth knowledge of standard protocols - ICMP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSH, SMTP, SMB, NFS, etc.
o In depth knowledge and experience of Wifi networkingo In depth knowledge and experience of network topologies - DMZ's, WAN's, etc.
o Substantial knowledge of Splunk (or other SIEM's)o Understanding of MITRE Adversary Tactics, Techniques and Common Knowledge (ATT&CK)o Ability to characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to network resourceso Ability to identify and analyze anomalies in network traffic using metadatao Experience with reconstructing a malicious attack or activity based on network traffico Experience examining network topologies to understand data flows through the networko Must be able to travel domestically on short noticeo Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations Desired Skills:
o Substantial knowledge of network device integrity concepts and methodologieso Proficiency with network analysis software (e.

Wireshark)o Proficiency with carving and extracting information from PCAP datao Proficiency with non-traditional network traffic (e.
g.
Command and Control)o Knowledge of ICS/OT protocolso Substantial knowledge of Arkimeo Experience with network sensors (e.

, Corelight, Cisco FMC, Suricata) Required Education:
BS Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related degree; or HS Diploma & 7-9 years of network investigations experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
