Responsibilities Peratons' Federal Strategic Cyber program is currently seeking a Jr Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Cyber Mission Sector to support exciting cybersecurity research projects and develop cybersecurity solutions for missions of consequence supporting cyber, defense, intelligence, space, and federal missions.
Location:
This position is fully remote; will have the opportunity to work on-site in Arlington, VA as needed.
In this role, you will:
Have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment with our cyber researchers, technologies, developers, and engineers from across Peraton, allowing you to grow your skills and your career while building experience in the cybersecurity domain.
Work in an Agile software development environment with tasking in areas such as information assurance, threat intelligence, AI/ML, systems administration/operations, networking, data analytics, and software development/scripting.
You will also have opportunities to obtain certifications in leading technologies to enhance your skills.
Qualifications Required:
BA/BS degree OR HS and 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Progress towards a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
Foundational education in cybersecurity technologies and processes.
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools through coursework and/or prior internships and apprenticeships.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player.
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.

Citizenship Ability to obtain/maintain a TS security clearance.
Desired:
Exposure to Agile development and engineering processes.
Experience with software development and/or scripting languages.
Experience with data analytics tools.
Exposure to cloud computing environments.
One or more years of industry or military experience in the cyber security domain Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
CompTIA Security
certification.
DoD TS/SCI Clearance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
