System Alarm Monitor -Arlington, VA with Security Clearance

Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for alarm monitoring, investigation, dispatching, and resolution of alerts from Physical Access Control, CCTV, and Integrated Security Electronic SystemsThis position is maintained at a 24/7/365 security operations center in the National Capitol RegionThis position requires the ability to support 24/7 shift work including weekends, and holidaysThis position supports life safety activities and requires readiness to support incidents that can occur at any timePunctuality, attendance, a willingness to learn,and an ability to work well with others arekey to success in this roleEssential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
o Utilize multiple application systems to monitor, investigate and resolve security alarms.
o Assess risk and dispatch police officers for various causes and / or suspicious activity.
o Work collaboratively and communicate professionally in a mission critical / life safety environment with coworkers, customers, tenants, and visitors.
o Willingness to learn and retain training provided in various delivery methods.
o Entering service / maintenance requests for system and hardware issues.
o Support knowledge sharing with fellow alarm monitors and security operations team.
o Troubleshoot with customers over the phone and as directed by supervisor.
o Adhere to security operation center policies and proceduresPosition / Candidate Requirementso Please note that in pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.
SCitizenship and an active Secret Clearance or above.
o Ability to work the following shift schedule:
0500-1300, 1300-2100, and 2100-0500 with 15-minute transition period.
o Education:
Computer Science, Engineering Degree or a Related Technical Disciplineo 0-2 Years of Experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity.
o 2-4 Years of Experience with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity.
o 2-4 Years of Related Experience with a High School Diploma or GEDRequired Progressive
Experience:
o Previous experience in a security operations center settingo Previous experience with access control and / or video management systems.
o Requires reliable attendance at customer site during scheduled shift.
o Requires the ability to work shifts that include weekends and holidays.
o Have reliable transportation for purposes of getting to and from work on timeDesired / Advantageous Qualificationso CertificationExperience in CCure 9000 Access Control System desired.
o CertificationExperience in AMAG Access Control System desired.
o CertificationExperience in BOSCH BVMS desiredAbilitieso Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
o Sitting for extended periods of time.
o Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
o Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
