Software Tester II with Security Clearance
Overview Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Software Tester II is an experienced team member who is looking to continue to grow in their software quality assurance careerAs a part of the team, analyze and implement testing activities in support of the design, development, and implementation of large, complex PeopleSoft projectsEnsure the delivered software and documentation is adequately tested and meets quality and compliance standardsResponsibilities The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assignedManagement may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
o Work closely with teammates and clients in design sessions to translate user requirements into system requirement specifications.
o Write test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
o Plan and perform unit testing, functional requirements testing, and regression testing for sprint releases.
o Identify and prepare test data in support of test activities.
o Analyze, report, and track defects found during testing.
o Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders throughout the development process.
o Use best practices to test and deploy changes from staging environments to production.
o Ensure delivery of code and systems meets performance, operational readiness, and other non-functional requirements.
o Support junior team members through training and mentorshipQualifications Skills/
Qualifications:
The ideal addition to our Ohana will have the following skills for this position:
o 2
years testing experienceo Thorough knowledge of the Agile development processo Proficient in use of JIRA for requirements and defect managemento Experience writing and executing SQL querieso Experience reading and editing XML fileso Experience with PeopleSoft software preferredo Strong verbal and written communication skillso Strong analytical and problem-solving skillso Solid judgement and decision-making abilitieso Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team Education/
Experience:
This position prefers a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or relevant work experienceExperience with government and/or Department of Defense environments preferredClearance:
A background investigation at the T3 level is required, as this is not currently a classified positionMust be a U.
ScitizenPhysical Requirements:
In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.
