Assistant General Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for providing advice on and ensuring compliance with data privacy/protection laws in countries in those regions. Will be a talented attorney with initiative and drive who can handle a high volume of varied and complex legal work, experienced in international data protection/privacy. Reports to a General Counsel of international. Duties: Supporting international data privacy and data privacy requirements globally (in all countries outside the EU/Western Europe and the US); Supporting product development and marketing attorneys in the roll-out of international products by advising on data protection/privacy issues; Supporting projects throughout the company that have data protection/data privacy implications such as outsourcing and efforts to consolidate databases by providing country specific advice on data protection/privacy issues; Setting up and monitoring data protection/privacy processes for corporate entities in all countries globally; Ensuring compliance with data protection and data privacy laws globally; Assisting contract lawyers globally on questions related to data privacy/protection arising in global contracts; and Educating colleagues in legal on data protection/privacy issues.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
