Summary
The team lead is responsible for processing daily lockbox receipts for ACRE, and processing quarterly refunds for the ACRE program. Additionally, this position acts as the team lead for the billing and cash receipt activity related to the NRECA Association lines of business. As team lead this position coordinates the workflow, reconciles the daily cash and evaluates the processes used by other teammates for the billing and cash receipt functions for the Association. This position also is the key liaison for the AR unit with the Government Relations department and the statewide organizations who contribute to ACRE on behalf of the cooperatives. Leadership is required as the chosen candidate will be the primary go-to person among users of NetForum, particularly for billing, cash application questions and reporting in NetForum. The team lead also is required to be cross trained with other A/R team members to provide backup to those positions during a team members' absence.
Purpose and Mission
1) Processes daily ACRE Lockbox cash receipts in NetForum.
Uses daily banking cash activity report from Wells Fargo as control totals for text file processing of ACRE gifts.
Uploads text files of ACRE contribution data to NetForum by individual, manually entering those not formatted for automatic upload.
2) Processes ACRE refunds to statewide organizations quarterly.
Calculates and requests refunds of contribution amounts received for remittance back to statewide organizations based on established rates.
3) Acts as the key Accounts Receivable liaison to Government Relations and the statewide organizations.
Communicates and coordinates regularly with the Government Relations Department to ensure contributions are recorded to the correct giver, and gift giving status is correctly reflected in NetForum.
4) Acts as lead position for the processing of billing and cash receipts for the NRECA Association lines of business.
Coordinates the workflow across the five A/R positions processing NRECA Association billing and cash receipts.
5) Reports monthly cash receipt statistics for the ACRE program to the Government Relations Department and management.

6) Performs other various closing processes for the AR unit.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelors Degree with a focus in accounting and experience working as an accountant in a part-time or temporary role.
2-3 years direct experience performing billing and cash receipts.
Demonstrates full understanding of accounting principles, specifically how debits and credits operate, how transactions flow to their final destination and how this affects the end result on the financial statements.
Be detail oriented and well organized.
Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels, including senior level management.
Able to analyze data and draw conclusions from research into transactions and processes.
Demonstrate computer aptitude and ability to learn new applications.
Able to perform well under pressure.
Have exceptional customer service skills.
