The purpose of this internship is to provide:
Practical experience in the systems implementation and business process optimization disciplines within the employee benefits administration industry
A system of accountability and professionalism

Develop skills and techniques applicable to intern's college coursework
Purpose and Mission
The I&FS; Strategic Program Management group, in collaboration with its strategic business partners, combines technology innovation with business process excellence to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and affordability of NRECA's employee benefit administration.
Projects include:
Participate in key strategic initiatives including GEMS, National Network Strategy, OmniPlus Upgrade, and 401(k) Omni DC Bundle implementation programs
Develop test cases for administration systems including Benefit Plan Rating (BPR), OmniPlus, and NEB
Participate in Business Process Excellence (BPE) initiatives including National Network Strategy (NNS), RS Redesign and the BPE Communities of Practice
Assist with other departmental projects and tasks, as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
Systems Analysis, Business Administration with a technology focus, Information Technology or related discipline
Meet NRECA's Internship Criteria
Show interest to learn and dedication to work
Comply with guidelines, policies, procedures, and professional conduct set by NRECA
Earn satisfactory performance evaluation at the end of the internship
This is an intern position.
3.0 or above GPA required and Must be a rising junior or senior
Dates: May 19th thru August 8th, 2014

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
