is hiring an
Associate Technical Consultant (Jr. Java Engineer - D.C.)
who will be responsible for implementing models and frameworks for enterprise-level applications of our E2open partner's supply chain collaboration, cloud-based software solution. These applications support complex, multi-company, supply chain management workflows and B2B supply chain data interchanges.
This member of the E2open Technology Consulting Practice, based in Arlington, VA/Washington D.C., will conduct technical analysis of customer needs, develop technical specifications and perform configuration of the E2Open product suites to address customer functional and technical needs.
Responsibilities
Work with a remote team of experienced professionals to develop, test and deliver necessary solutions
Analyze and implement software components and configure project-specific databases and system configurations of E2open product suite
Engage in prompt and appropriate communication with the project team lead and internal team members regarding assigned work
Demonstrate technical expertise on development projects
Provide comprehensive technical support to the project team, including: quality assurance/design reviews, environment setup, operations consulting, troubleshooting, system testing, etc
Communicate proactively and effectively with the remote project team lead and project team members regarding assigned work
Complete assigned work within the allotted time and escalate issues that may negatively impact the project schedule
Work with appropriate parties to estimate development level of effort to drive project milestones and deadlines
Work with appropriate parties with a sense of urgency to ensure issues/defects are resolved accurately and in a timely manner
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times with customers and internal team members
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT (or equivalent) is required
1-2 years hands-on experience in Java, shell scripting and XML
Experience with database technologies including SQL and JDBC
Experience with Linux/Unix systems
Logical approach and excellent problem solving skills
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to work well both in a team environment and independently under minimal supervision in a remote setting, as needed
Must be flexible with working hours to support international remote teams in different time zones and countries
Ability to effectively troubleshoot, provide feedback, and resolve issues with great attention to detail
Understanding of development methodologies, version control and configuration management
Experience using JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence is preferred
Experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing environment is preferred
Travel required during the initial training period of 4-6 weeks. An additional 5% travel may be required after training

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
