Responsibilities:
Conducts analyses and evaluation of advanced electronic combat systems and other advanced technologies and applications of potential military interest within the Directorate of Air Force Special Program's Advanced Weapons and Fire Control Division (SAF/AQLW). Performs technical system analysis of weapon systems and/or weapon system portfolios. Reviews programmatic documents. Recommends short and long term solutions to increase the financial and programmatic efficiencies and effectiveness of acquisition programs. Efforts will require review of DoD and contractor documentation, participation in applicable working groups, attendance at Laboratory/Contractor reviews and technical program reviews. Prepares program documentation to include financial tracking and applicable reports. Develops metrics, tracks performance, periodically reports performance metrics, makes/implements improvement recommendations and reacts to short notice taskings.
Qualifications:
Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.
Knowledge of the Air Staff/OSD organizations and processes. Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, and at least 14 years of relevant experience which may include education, technical training, or work/military experience. Four (4) additional years of relevant experience can be substituted for lack of a Master's degree. Operational or Test experience in fighters/bombers highly desired. Operational or Test experience in Fighter/Bomber/space/electronic warfare systems desired. Acquisition strategy development and test, cost and schedule management experience are designed.
Physical Requirements:
May require sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time (70%). (Lifting, bending, climbing may be required in the position (30%).
Work Environment:
Work environment is typically inside in an office setting. Position will require multiple task efforts. Travel may be required periodically for specific task related functions as well as to obtain raining necessary for this position; travel 25-50% of the time.
Equipment and Machines:
Work requires regular use of typical office equipment such as the personal computer (80%), copiers (2%), and fax machines (2%).
Attendance:
Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with little advance notice.

Essential Functions:
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance or access, where such specific clearance or access is necessary to perform the tasks of the position for which you are being hired, as well as for any subsequent positions to which you may be assigned. Must be articulate in oral and written presentations, well organized, a self-starter, and be comfortable working with senior level executives within the Air Force, other Services, and the OSD staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
