Summary
The RS Application team is currently seeking a Senior Developer to work in our dynamic IT department. As such, the position will be responsible for full life-cycle design and development of the defined benefit pension application suite. The new system will integrate with NRECA''s enterprise service oriented architecture and employ technologies such as Backbone.js, .NET Framework, Entity Framwork, SQL Server, and WCF. This position will play a key role in the integration, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and production support for the RS pension administration system.
Purpose and Mission
Provide full life-cycle development including requirements analysis & definition, design, development, testing and implementation of RS projects that support business goals.
Take ownership of projects/tasks/issues and work them through completion.
Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture and integration documentation.
Participate in code reviews to ensure processes support existing architecture, follow defined guidelines and coding standards and meet user requirements.
Monitor production RS applications and integrated web services via production monitoring solutions.
Identify process improvements and enhancements to existing business and IT processes that will increase operating efficiencies.
Maintain a current knowledge of industry trends related to .NET framework development, Service-Oriented Architecture, and web services through vendor training, seminars and conferences.
Collaborate with end users and provide exceptional customer service by becoming a trusted business advisor.
Become a key contributor on the team responsible for delivering the conceptual, application architecture, and technical architecture designs for the new RS pension administration system in 2014.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor''s Degree
Five (5) plus years of progressive application systems development experience utilizing a full SDLC, with experience supporting the full stack for enterprise applications in a SOA environment.
3-6 years experience building applications using C# and the .Net 4
framework preferred.
Two to four (2-4) years experience with relational databases like Microsoft''s SQL Server.
Use of common software design patterns (e.g., SOA, Factory, Singleton, Adapter, Decorator, Visitor, and Strategy patterns).
Experience with applications using MVC, MVVM, MV frameworks.
Experience with developing SOAP and RESTful web services using WCF.
Ability to demonstrate making sound architectural decisions for applications employing a rich domain service layer interacting with a Web API.
Experience developing single page applications with JavaScript frameworks like Backbone.js, Knockout.js, and Angular.js.
Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks.
Experience working in Agile environments methodologies using Scrum.
Experience using test-first development using TDD or BDD.
Familiarity with Dependency Injection/Inversion of Control.
Knowledge of , Moq, Autofac, and NHibernate are a plus.
Experience supporting defined benefit pension administration, or retirement benefit administration systems is a plus.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Strong software modeling skills.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
