Summary
Training and Organizational Development Specialist - P3
Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to develop human resources strategies that drive employee engagement, support organizational change initiatives and improve employee productivity. Lead and coordinate the organizational development and training activities for the organization. Develop, oversee and implement training programs that align the workforce with key business strategies and initiatives.
Purpose and Mission
Oversee the ongoing development, selection, facilitation, and evaluation of all training programs to support employee and leadership development and strategic initiatives.
Identify training and development opportunities thru needs assessment surveys and individual collaboration with managers and employees.
Manage relationships with vendors and consultants on training needs.
Manage the training budget and initiate cost-effective delivery of education plans.
Develop, implement and evaluate effective employee engagement strategies and programs.
Manage the employee engagement survey process and associated project planning.
Analyze employee survey data to identify key drivers and inhibitors of engagement.
Support managers with translating engagement survey results into action plans.
Assist with the design and implementation of the career development and performance management framework, tools and resources.
Manage the application process for various Great Place to Work competitions.
Work with the Communications team to develop effective messaging and communications to promote the employer brand and to ensure NRECA maintains a position as an employer of choice in our communities.
Assist with developing targeted employee messaging to deliver accurate, consistent, and timely information on business issues and employee concerns.
Participate on various Human Resources project teams to develop new initiatives and programs aimed at improving organizational and employee effectiveness.
Coordinate NRECA Manager and Town Hall meetings for employees.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources, Organizational Learning, or Organizational Development or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of high-level organizational training and development experience including needs identification and training development, implementation and evaluation.
Strong understanding of adult learning theory, organizational development, and training program design.
Familiarity with a variety of training methods such as classroom training, on-the-job training, eLearning, and or workshops.
Must be familiar with current and emerging trends in learning design and development.
Excellent communication skills, including ability to influence and make presentations to both internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and trust with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to communicate effectively up and down, at all levels of the organization, teach and present new ideas with clarity and simplicity.
Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and adapt.
