This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

_Duties:_
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Security Specialist, providing oversight, support and management of multiple security disciplines (communications, industrial, physical and personnel).
Serves as Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian, manages, develops, administrates and executes program requirements.
Administers or supports the Industrial and Physical Security Program.Reviews solicitation and coordination on contract documents to ensure they include appropriate clauses and language. Reviews DD Forms 254, _Contract Security__Classification Specifications_, for technical accuracy and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval.
Implements and administers the Personnel Security Program.Reviews and establishes organizational procedures for processing requests for security accesses for military, civilian and contractor personnel. Initiates and reviews all requests for personnel security investigations consistent with directives.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect quality level of experience at the next lower qualifying pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule (GS/GG) pay system or other pay systems, demonstrating quality in the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies to meet the requirements of this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Senior knowledge communications, industrial, physical and personnel security disciplines to facilitate review, independently analyze, resolve difficult and apply direction to complex security problems; develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Comprehensive knowledge DoD and IC organizations, policies, legislation, and directives to plan and develop relationships and guidance for application of complex procedures and practices required security training concepts, programs, procedures and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
2. Significant knowledge and experience working with government and civilian personnel, DoD and non-DoD agencies to ensure organizational and the DoD positions are accurately reflected and defended.
3. Senior knowledge communications, industrial, physical and personnel security disciplines to facilitate review, independently analyze, resolve difficult and apply direction to complex security problems; develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
4. Comprehensive skill in security classification methods, concepts and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls, submitting concise written reports within established deadlines and presenting innovative, imaginative and cohesive briefings, and other related duties as assigned.
5. Senior skills in oral communications to present sensitive information and/or recommendations on complex security matters to higher authorities; skilled in written communications sufficient to develop guidance, regulations and directives dealing with complex issues.
6. Extensive experience in establishing and maintain highly productive working relationships with team members, clients, industry experts, and others including interpersonal effectiveness with immediate supervisors, executive management, peers, employees, and contractors as well as in building relationships and maintaining close coordination with a range of customers.

_ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT_ :
1. Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or (SAP). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
3. Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
4. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
5. Employee may be subject to counterintelligence scope polygraph testing.
6. The employee may be required to perform on-call reporting procedures and/or report in response to security alarm notifications, investigations and reset procedures during other than core duty hours.
7. This position requires Tier I, SpED security DSS certifications, within six months of entering on duty in this position or attain an approved time waiver. Subsequent levels of certification are required as determined by DSS as part of the SpED implementation/certification program develops, up to Tier III level.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
