Summary
Circulation and Business Development Manager-P3
Develops, executes, and measures the ongoing effectiveness of comprehensive sales, marketing, and circulation plans for RE Magazine, , and the TechConnect website. Oversees projects and logistics that support the work of the NRECA Business Development and Sales team.
Purpose and Mission
Develops and executes a comprehensive plan to grow the circulation of RE Magazine and foster audience development for and TechConnect
Creates strong promotional materials for , TechConnect and RE Magazine
Collaborates with internal Creative department staff to produce annual media kit for RE Magazine and
Produces regular newsletters to advise RE Magazine subscribers and TechConnect visitors of relevant issues and promote advertising and sponsorship opportunities
Oversees quarterly advertiser study for RE Magazine; distills results to drive advertising efforts and support content selection
Manages print and digital advertising activities: including scheduling, uploading, trouble shooting, ad specification queries and monitoring and/or producing trafficking reports
Coordinates with RE Magazine and teams to confirm file format, layout, and accurate execution
Manage existing advertising portal for RE Magazine and
RE Magazing operations and project management
Facilitates semi-annual BPA audit for RE Magazine; manages relationship with auditors and gathers required data and documentation
Responds to subscriber/user questions and provides customer support
Coordinates the development of the editorial calendars for REmagazine and with Communication department staff as part of the media kits
Oversees the creation and maintenance of a subscription-management system for RE Magazine
Contributes content and serve as back-up editor for the CONNECTING POINT monthly e-newsletter to suppliers
Assists Business Development and Sales team with event/ tradeshow logistics; participates in industry events as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of educations, training, and additional work experience.
5-8 years experience in publication advertising/circulation sales and marketing, preferably in the electric utility industry or a membership organization
Experience with digital advertising
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven ability to conceptualize, produce and disseminate high-quality promotional materials in a effective, efficient manner
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
Proven team player who enjoys collaboration
Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays
