NOC Tier II Technician

TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a NOC Tier II Technician for one of our clients in Arlington , VA. Candidate must have an active Public Trust Clearance.
Essential Job Functions:
Handle trouble calls and work closely with engineering, field technicians, and telecommunications carriers to resolve service issues
Validate problem descriptions and perform detailed problem diagnosis; track and update problems in trouble-ticketing system
Perform scheduled configuration changes to network switches and routers, firewalls and wireless devices
Identify network issues and determine and recommend appropriate solutions
Participate in rotating on call schedule with other members of the team including weekends
Provide quality documentation and deliver presentations about network issues, updates, and troubleshooting techniques
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Zero or more years of experience in data, voice or video networks
Experience working with current local area network systems and technical infrastructure communication issues
Experience working with current network systems and networking principles, data, voice or video
Experience working with network software and hardware, data, voice or video
Experience working with multiple technical platforms (e.g., mainframe, two-tiered client-server, three-tiered client-server)
Possess Department of Defense (DoD) security access and/or DoD security clearance
Other
Qualifications:
Expertise in multiple network operating systems and hardware (Juniper,Aruba, Cisco)
Experience with supporting remote access using SSL VPN
Experience with Wireless (WLAN, 802.1x) management and technologies
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and commonly-used routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
A CCNP, CCIE or JNCIA, JNCIE) or equivalent certification is required
