Job Description:
Experience with Remedy 7.X and 8X
Minimum 5 years general IT experience and 5 years of Remedy development experience on versions 7.5 and beyond; experience with prior version is desired
Some experience with BMC ITSM v8.1 components, modules, and related skills:
CMDB 2.1 experience; should be able to create and customize classes as well as understand the CDM and its relationships
Configuration and customization of the Asset Management Module
Configuration of the Service Request Module (SRM)
Configuration and customization of the Service Desk: Incident Module
Configuration of the Service Level Management (SLM) module
Configuring and defining Foundation Data
Development via the BMC Developer Studio and knowledge of overlays
Comfortable working in an Oracle database; at least 2 years of Oracle experience
Familiarity with data loading tools such Atrium Integration Engine and Atrium Integrator
Experience with Remedy in both a developer and administrator capacity
Migration experience to Remedy 8.1 from a version before 7.6
Experience with the installation and configuration ARS and ITSM in Windows environment
Must have excellent analytical competencies
Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle implementations
Demonstrated experience in conducting working sessions for requirements gathering
Demonstrated experience in developing technical options and recommendation
Experience working with BMC's ITSM product suit
Experience working with JavaScripts
Experience working in a Virtual Environment
Experience defining and configuring data normalization and reconciliation jobs within the CMDB
Experience configuring discovery and CMDB synch jobs within ADDM
Knowledge of and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with the Unix operating system
Participates in client/project meeting(s) for needs assessment and design review
Analyzes the needs and requirements of users of existing and proposed database systems and develops technical, structural and organizational specifications to include access methods, access time, job control language, statistical methodologies, device allocation, validation checks, protection and security
Designs, develops, implements and maintains moderately complex database for internal and external users/clients
Perform moderately complex systems and database administration
Monitor and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance
Oversee appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages
Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes
Analyze capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems
Coordinate with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes
Support the design and configuration of complex system landscapes
Support complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations
Plan, coordinates and directs appropriate level data refresh strategies
Oversee, recommend and implement appropriate level database solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance
Oversee and apply appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity
Develop and maintain appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current
Oversee the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation
Interact with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues
Creates, documents and implements standards and/or modeling to monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of the database. Programs and writes codes as necessary
Develops data import and export routines to automate data loading
Builds windows, screens and reports
Performs analyses and reviews complex applications being released into production
Develops test application code in client server environments to ensure that software conforms to build management practices
Develops back-up and recovery procedures and data archive/purge procedures
Creates supporting technical documentation
Remains abreast of and analyzes new and emerging technologies and tools for applicability to field
Prepares reports and/or recommendations of new and/or changing processes/products
Remains abreast of new releases and patches to BMC Remedy AR System and ITSM suite and communicates this information to the application owner
Ability to comprehend and integrate business unit/client needs into appropriate database system
Effective organizational, writing, and communication skills:
Participates in identifying business requirements; ensures delivered information solutions meet performance engineering expectations
Recommends program/project release schedules based on knowledge of software development life cycle; delivers functionality and ensures the integrity of the overall system
The candidate will be required to create Requests for Change (RFC's) and defend the proposed solutions impact to the TSA configuration control board (CCB)
Develops and implements guidelines for deployment of product
Performs document reviews to ensure effective and non-abusive environment changes and demonstrates ability to escalate needs when necessary
Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current
Reviews literature, and current practices to support business requirements and/or new industry technology
Prepares reports and/or recommendations regarding new technology to appropriate personnel
A requirement of this position is that all candidates submit sanitized writing samples demonstrating previous design and documentation experience as a part of the selection process
Essential Job Functions:
Designs and develops integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance
Performs and evaluates cost analyses and vendor comparisons of software/hardware systems to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations and measures feasibility of various approaches and makes recommendations
Analyzes potential systems investments and prepares supporting documentation for recommendation(s) to management and customers based on results of independent assessment of current and future performance, stability, and systems management/life cycle issues
Provides escalated technical support to customers by handling systems-related issues; may provide on-call technical support telephonically and/or electronically
Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies and conducts testing to enhance performance
Conducts moderately complex projects or phases of significant projects; coordinates the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects
Applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques and assists in the development, implementation and documentation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with standard business practices
Develops and implements training tools and documentation
Provides technical consultation on current and proposed systems to other organizations and clients
Performs repairs, maintenance and upgrades of existing systems using solutions in accordance with standard operating procedures
Investigates and resolves matters of significance
Provides work guidance to less experienced personnel

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Four or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming, or naval architecture
Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas
Experience working with one or more structured programming languages
Experience working with design principles and applications

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
