Play an integral part in the generation and review of the Weapon Systems IBP, QBR, CSR, and project analyses and resultant communications to program teams, functional leads and executive management. Assimilate multiple sources of data and information to drive sound plans and business decisions.
Interface with executive management responding to their requests for financial data and to resolve reporting and compliance issues.
Prepare financial analyses and studies, assess and evaluate project performance. Provide special reporting and analyses for decision making. Seek understanding with functional teams and alert management of significant variances to plan. Recommend course of action to drive programs and business to sound practices.
Review complex financial data for inclusion in proposals, contract reviews, forecasts or variance explanations. Interfaces with upper management.
May Coordinate, negotiate and resolves financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and DFAR/FAR regulations and interprets changes to same for impact on programs.
Conduct and/or may lead audits.
Maintain familiarity with industry practices, trends and applications to enhance the organization's capabilities. Advise management on new developments and evolving organizational needs and required competencies.
May direct the work of less senior personnel.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Required Skills and Education
Relevant
Bachelor degree or equivalent plus additional 12 years' experience; or relevant
Master degree
10 years' experience; or relevant Ph.D. degree
7 years' experience.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing across multiple, diverse cultures and across multiple time zones. Strong collaboration skills and a proven ability to work with a culturally diverse population. Good planning, time management and organization skills.
Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
Ability to use variety of systems to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Ability to develop, research and execute presentations.
Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.
Preferred Skills and Education
Understanding and adept with HFM reporting, Hyperion, highly desired.
Understanding of Financial Planning and Analysis function and IBP and forecast process highly desired.
Understanding of CSR process.
F amiliar with FAP.
Certain positions may require a
specific degree and/or concentration or have a preference for an advanced
degree in a related area. Prefer experience with
relevant applications in a defense environment.
