The ITA Mainframe Services SME will provide technical expertise in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of the mainframe architecture and various applications supported on that infrastructure. The position requires demonstrated direct experience with a variety of s/390 and z/OS environments running JES2, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, ACF2, CICS, and DB2 in a multiple CPU environment. Support of all related HW and SW within the ITA CASD environment as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key
Responsibilities:
Act as the overall Mainframe Services SME for the ITA Enterprise in support of the current BMC v7.6 (or most recent version) Remedy ITSM production suite is utilized by:
4,000 HQDA users
20,000 external Service Request Module (SRM) users
Use advanced SQL, Java, and HTML skills and tools to support customization development, configuration, deployment and operations support the ITA enterprise and ITSM Suite modules
Provide technical expertise and support to mainframe services personnel and ITA staff in architecting, deploying, and sustaining the ITA mainframe architecture and the various applications supported on the that infrastructure
Provide expertise and consulting-type services to support operations staff in supporting the variety of s/390 and z/OS hardware and software systems within the ITA environment
Expertise in:
Large, complex IT mainframe systems
TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, IBM and IBM related utility programs (i.e. IDCAMS, IEBCOPY, FDR, DFDSS), z/OS file structures, ICF Catalogs, VSAM and zFS file systems
Count-key DASD storage systems, specifically EMC VMAX systems to include BCV, Timefinder, and SRDF functions
Robotic tape libraries including SL-8500, SL-3000, STK/Sun/Oracle VSM and T10k tape drives
Experience in:
Generating and maintaining documentation for system engineering and technical architecture
Generating and maintaining requirements, test and evaluate possible future technical architectures, analyze and resolve complex system issues, leading and/or participating in architecture reviews and providing technical guidance based upon expertise
z/OS environments running JES2, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, ACF2, CICS, and DB2 in a multiple CPU environment
z/VM programming systems
z/Linux operating systems such as RedHat and SuSe
Knowledge in:
Current IBM mainframe HW platforms, such as z9, z10, z196
DISA STIG process
Configuration and management of IBM's Communication Server IP and its subcomponents; TN3270, FTP, SYSLOGD, Policy Agent, InfoPrint Server, SMTP, SNMP, OMPROUTE, etc.
z/OS network monitoring software such as NETVIEW, Williams Data Systems IMPLEX, Exigence, and FTP Alert
Education:
BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS) or Telecommunications
Additional Requirements:
TS/SCI
5 years experience
DoD 8570.01.M, IAT Level II Certification

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
