We are looking for a seasoned Spanish translator to work on our content team to help us expand and edit Spanish-English dictionary entries that serve millions of users around the globe. You'll be working on a multi-week project that could expand into more work over time.
Our team at Curiosity Media runs SpanishDict.com, the world's largest Spanish reference and learning website, which reached over 75 million unique visitors in 2013. We've also just launched Fluencia, an adaptive learning platform that is redefining the way people learn Spanish online. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing team and make a big impact on how the world learns Spanish.
As a Spanish Translator, you will:
Reconstruct dictionary entries from the ground up for over 10,000 of our most utilized words
Collaborate with Content team members to edit and strengthen current dictionary entries to make them as clear and concise as possible
Compose appropriate and diversified example sentences for each entry demonstrating varied uses of each vocabulary word
Interested? We're looking for:
A bilingual candidate with in-depth knowledge of Spanish and English
Strong and experienced translators, with experience in different dialects of Spanish
Consistency in writing style, tone, and voice andEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
