Payroll Clerk
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Ability to read ADP's Standard Reports
Enter New Hires & Changes into ADP Payroll System
Must comply with all payroll Federal, State & Local regulations
Process Unemployment claims
Process Garnishments/Wage assignments & rotate according to court order
Verify employment via phone or written request
Research un-cashed check report from ADP & report returned check to the States
Understand the process of ADP COBRA Services
Recognizes the confidentiality of the Department
Home Office filing
Cut manual checks as needed
Be a liaison with HR to research team member inquiries
Pays close attention to details
Good communication skills
Data Entry & 10-key skills
Works well with others
Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:
High School Diploma
Experience & Other Requirements:
Minimum 2 yrs.
payroll experience
Minimum 12 months ADP Workforce Now experience
Ability to read ADP's Standard Reports
Strong system/software skills including: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
Must be able to communicate and function well in an interdisciplinary team
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to interact effectively and professionally in person, on the phone and via email
Exceptional time management, self-sufficiency and resourcefulness
Self-motivated, organized and professional
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, problem solving, conflict management and budgeting
