The McLean Group is a leading independent investment bank that provides mergers and acquisitions, business valuations and strategic consulting services to middle market businesses. We are seeking a bright, energetic and entrepreneurial individual to support our team as an entry-level Office Manager in the McLean, VA headquarters.
The Office Manager will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, as well as supporting a variety of staff requests. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where each day presents new challenges and opportunities for professional development. The position will require strong organizational and communication skills. The Office Manager will play a pivotal role in facilitating and supporting the day-to-day communications throughout the firm.
Core functions include (but are not limited to):
o Becoming an expert about the functionality and daily operations of the organization
o Being the liaison for the Office, Building Management, and FINRA
o Coordinating meetings and travel
o Answering incoming calls and greeting visitors
o Managing and updating the corporate calendars
o Managing contract management support
o Supporting the marketing & business development team as needed
o HR/Accounting support as needed
o Maintaining the appearance of the office
o Keeping office stocked with refreshments and supplies
o Completing a wide variety of tasks as assigned
Requirements:
o Proficient in MS Office Suite and QuickBooks (preferred but not required)
o Highly organized and detail-oriented
o Strong written and oral communication as well as work/time management
o Displays initiative and adaptability
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
