Essential Job Responsibilities
Underwrites a minimum number of loans per day based on goals set with manager
Maintains current guidelines for each investor and product type
Attends underwriting meetings
Reviews loan files with Underwriting Manager that do not meet program guidelines
Participates in assignments/projects as necessary
Responsible for complying with the various rules, regulations, policies and ethical standards governing the financial services industry including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school education
Job specific related training
3-5 years underwriting experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
Analytical skills
Routine Decisions and Formal Policy Setting
Decisions are made based on established policies and procedures.
No formal policy-setting responsibility. Policies associated with the job's purpose and essential responsibilities are set by others.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
